City Clerk

The City Clerk provides public information and City Council support, administers elections and preserves the legislative history of the City.  The City Clerk acts as a compliance officer for federal state and local statutes including the Political Reform Act, the Brown Act and the Public Records Act.

The Clerk prepares, posts, and distributes City Council agendas for City Council meetings which are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chamber, 33 S. Main Street.  The Public is invited to attend.  Contact the City Clerk to submit inquiries or comments for the entire City Council.  530-346-2313,

By statute the City Clerk is required to maintain the minutes, ordinances and resolutions adopted by the Council.  The Clerk ensures the municipal records are readily accessible to the public.

The Clerk’s office supports other departments in the processing of permits and applications for events, building projects or planning developments/actions within the City.
