Capital Improvement Projects

The Community Services Director uses the Capital Improvement List which was approved by Council in 2017 to prioritize projects which will enhance services provided to Colfax citizens. 

City staff has several projects underway to improve City infrastructure:

• Roundabout – South Auburn & I-80 Intersection 

  Status: Planning Complete, Finalizing State and Federal Funding Documents
  Timeline: Construction Bid – January 2019, Construction – April 2019, Projected Completion – November 2019

• Rising Sun Pavement 

  Status: Construction Completed, Striping Scheduled for Late November
  Timeline: Projected Completion – November 2018

• Culver Street 

  Status: Federal funding approved, Currently in Design
  Timeline: Construction Bid – February 2019, Construction – April 2019, Projected Completion – June 2019

• Pond 1 Levee – Wastewater Treatment Plant 

  Status: Completed
  Timeline: Completed Fall 2018

• Church Street Connector 

  Status: Completed
  Timeline: Completed Spring 2018

• ADA Improvement Project 

  Status: Completed
  Timeline: Completed Fall 2018
