Mayor Burruss has lived in The City of Colfax for nearly a decade and loves this community. As a parent, there is nowhere else she wants her children to call home.

Her background is primarily in Operations Management and Industrial Engineering for multimillion-dollar projects and operations performed by large publicly traded companies. She received Police Officers Standards and Training (POST) Academy training under the supervision of Placer County Sheriff’s Office. She has also served as an officer to Placer County Superior Court as a Court Appointed Special Advocate to children. Professionally, she currently works for Pacific Gas and Electric Company on Electric Grid Interconnection of both distribution and transmission level projects under the FERC Wholesale Distribution Tariff, and in cooperation with the California Independent System Operator (CAISO.)

She is excited to dedicate her time and resources to fulfilling the duties of City of Colfax Mayor.
