The City of Colfax is currently hiring for the position of Maintenance Worker I.

This is an entry level position in the Public Works department requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in a semi-skilled maintenance occupation.  Typical duties may include landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs, minor construction and light carpentry projects, cleaning public restrooms, keeping public streets and parks clean and in good repair.  The employee may check storm drains, culverts and ditches; operate tools and equipment to patch and repair pavement, construct and maintain gutters, sidewalks and other incidental improvements.  Occasional maintenance may be required for the wastewater treatment plant and collection systems.  This is a represented position.  City benefit package includes CalPERS, health, and generous leave package.

Salary Range:  $20.51 - $26.18 hourly
