Public Housing AFFH – Public Workshop

APPLICANT: City of Colfax

REQUEST: Outreach to the public and affordable housing advocates to discuss implementation of the City’s General Plan Housing Element and required AFFH Plan.

LOCATION: Citywide

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: California’s AFFH law, Assembly Bill 686 requires an analysis of fair housing problems as well as identifying strategies and goals to proactively address any issues. The AFFH Plan is included as an implementation requirement of the City’s current General Plan Housing Element.

The Draft AFFH Plan is available at City Hall, 33 S. Main Street, Colfax, CA during normal business hours (Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

At the public workshop, the City will provide information and take public testimony. Interested persons should attend the public workshop or submit written comments. Written comments may be directed to the Colfax Planning Department, PO Box 702, Colfax, CA 95713 or via email at [email protected].

This notice is posted in accordance with the provisions of the California Government Code Title 7 Chapter 65000, as amended. Administrative remedies must be exhausted prior to action being initiated in a court of law. If you challenge the proposed project in court, you may be limited to issues raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered at or prior to the public hearing.
